how would the sims 3 online work out?
I have always wanted the sims to be an online world (like second life, I guess). However, they haven’t done that. Although I am pretty sure it would be a huge hit if they did. They would probably charge our eyes out because I bet every piece of furniture would cost us money (although I think in the sims 1 online you were allowed to work in game and make money). Anyways, I still think it would be cool. You could get married to other people online and have kids and stuff. Here’s my idea of how it could work out:
1-You wouldn’t be just one Sim, you’d be a family, or a max of 8 sims per household and lets say you are only allowed one household (or you can buy more households for a fee). While you play with one the other ones are npc controlled (like in the regular game). Something like a plumbob over a sim would let you know if there is someone controlling other sims you’d find in the online world.
2- If you wanted to get married and have kids – You could, just like in the sims 3. If you marry someone else you both gain control of the household and can play as either character. If they want to get a divorce they get to pick who keeps what (house, furniture, etc)
3- interactions would have to be approved by both parties (if someone wants to kiss me, I have to approve it) things like that.
4- When your sim dies of old age, you can continue to play as his/her child. If all your household dies out, then you get a choice to start all over (but you’d lose your previous house).
5- You age per real day of game play (say, you have to log in 10 different days to age up, if you don’t log in, the day doesn’t count. It doesn’t have to be 10 days, that was an example).
What other things would you add?
