Okay, so my ex and I broke up back in February due to distance and other issues. I last saw him probably 4 months ago, and he was dating another girl at the time. He didn’t really talk much of her. Well, out of the blue today he im’s me on Yahoo and is like, “why do I even f***ing bother?” I had a feeling it had to do with his gf. He tells me this story about how his girlfriend’s soon to be ex husband has been making her cry lately and how she’s been on friendly terms with him, and he tells her to stop talking to him and to tell him to gtfo. She tells him he has trust issues. And he asked her if he came crawling back if she’d get back with him, or stay with him. She said she didn’t know. She was with this dude for like 8 years; married for two, and he cheated on her for one of those.

Anyways, we got to talking and he’s all, bring me a coke (cause he didn’t have any). I’m like, yeahno. I’ve learned from the past. He only talks to me when he wants something, so I told him that. he goes, I have a hand and free internet, if I wanted something I could do that. I was like, then have it, you only talk to me when you want something. He goes, I have a girlfriend as far as I know, but she doesn’t want to talk right now. But he kept on insisting on me driving to where he lives to bring him coke. he’s all, I’d give you money for gas if I could. He claims that there’s no one else to talk to cause everyone is too far away, or has a job or is busy, which that irritates me that he only talks to me when everyone else is busy.

But it’s like, why me? Why would he talk to me after 4 months? Why not just let it go for another month, two months, three months? I really think he could had talked to anyone else about it. I doubt I was the only person online, even if I was.. why would he want to start talking about his problems with his relationship to me. I just don’t get it. It’s really becoming annoying that he doesn’t talk to me for so long, then boom! He’s back. It’s like, just save yourself the trouble and don’t talk to me again. granted, I have no problems with trying to be friendly and civil with him, but he doesn’t even return the favor. Only talks to me when it’s convenient for HIM.

I’m not looking for online surveys and all that.. just simple ideas to make quick money?

Ok I live in NJ, I’m 19 and opened an online broker account in november 07. I’ve been studying the markets since I was 16 so I know how to trade. Opened my account with $900 in it, my first trade I bought 800,000 shares of IVOT (penny stock) at around 0.0015 a share and sold a few weeks later for around 0.0033…So I made $1,100 profit but I have a few questions:

1) I’n NJ aproximately what percent of that would I have to pay tax??
2)Since I’m ninteen (and was eighteen in beginning of 07) am i legally allowed to file as an independent??
3)Can I use the free turbotax e-filing for this??

Okay, I’ve finished my novel, and I’m in the middle of the first edit, but then I need to put it down and let it rest for a month or so before I start on the 2nd rewrite. I have a few short story ideas that I can work on. It would be great to get some published, so I’ll look more credible to agents and publishers when my novel manuscript is finally ready to send out. I’m not holding my breath, because short stories are not my strength, but I’ll try…

Anyway, what’s a good place to find short story publications? I write fantasy, and have a lone sci-fi story. I haven’t had any luck with lists of fantasy magazine publishers in the past: most of them were either defunct or not accepting new work. I also tried Writer’s Market online, but there wasn’t anything there either.
