Graphic images and business use?

Hi,
I’m looking to start a small online business from home in desktop publishing/event planning for special baby related occassions (ie. invitations, favors, etc). I have some questions regarding graphic use and businesses:

1. If I purchase clip art (art explosion, clipart for example) that I then modify using my own illustrator program to then use in my customizable pieces such as an invitation, would this be illegal for business use?

2. Can I use clip art, mass market clip art programs for business use in my pieces such as an invitation? Can I modify these in my own pieces for business use?

3. If I hire/pay a graphic designer to design a few images that I will then use in my labels or invitations to sell, are those images sole property of me and cannot be replicated by the designer or any other designer for other clients? How is this handled?

How To Create/Mount ISO Images

In this video, I will show you how to make backups of your discs using Alcohol 52% This really comes in handy when you need a video game disk to be inserted to play the game (Not sure…but maybe not all games work with this). it says this: You may not: (i) sell, license, or distribute copies of the media elements by themselves or as a product if the primary value of the product is the media elements; (ii) grant your customers rights to further license or distribute the media elements; (iii) license or distribute for commercial purposes media elements that include the representation of identifiable individuals, governments, logos, trademarks, or emblems or use these types of images in ways that could imply an endorsement or association with your product, entity or activity; or (iv) create obscene works using the media elements. Clip Art and Sample Art
The End-User License Terms that accompany your software describe the permitted commercial uses of images, clip art, animations, sounds, music, shapes, video clips, and templates that accompanied the product. Find End-User License Terms for Microsoft products.
The Clip Art and Media gallery provides a compilation of artwork. See the use terms for the description of permitted uses. If those terms do not meet your needs, our Clip Art partners at Office Online provide a variety of images you can license directly.
In the absence of language to the contrary in the License Agreement, Sample Art (which includes images customarily found in the “sample” folders within Microsoft operating systems) may be used for personal use only. You may not sell, lease, or distribute Sample Art, or any materials you create that use Sample images, for any commercial purposes.

Websites and Copyright specifics with images?

I am looking to open my own affiliate marketing website and wanted to use specific backgrounds and images on it. But I know most pictures, especially if taken off the internet, are subject to copyrights. Anyone know any websites that give free backgrounds and images, or a way to get around copyright laws? Or are personal sites strictly subject to those boring free backgrounds you find online? I just can’t seem to find the specific, colorful type of art I want to put, and I don’t want to violate anything on my website. Thanks!
