what’s the deal with the paypal $6.00 thing? is it a scam?

I’ll pick the best answer for the most detailed and informative answer!

I have seen it on so many message boards, I can’t find anything online about it except for a couple of people saying it’s a scam but they don’t really say why it’s a scam. Are those people just pessimistic and assumeing that it’s a scam, or is it really a scam? and am I risking more then the $6 to get on the list or are there other risks involved?

THE PAYPAL 6 DOLLAR MONEY-MAKING METHOD

AS SEEN ON OPRAH EARN HUGE $$$$$$$$
Are you ready for the new and improved way to make instant money right
into your paypal account.
Oprah has proved that with $6 dollars, a free
paypal account and 30 minutes of your time, you can make between
$30,000 and $50,000.
Paypal has even verified this Scheme is 100%
legal.
So if you can make $50,000 with $6 dollars how much could you
make with $10? Can you say multimillionaire?
WELL for those of you who are not familiar with this cash making
machine it runs purely on honesty and Four simple steps. I gave it a try, hey its only $6, I figured at least 6 people would respond out of the MILLIONS of people that use the internet.

You should give it a try too!

You have nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain!

A little while back, I was browsing through some interesting adds, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.
00!
From PayPal:
“Dear Member, it has come to our attention that there
is a PayPal scheme floating around at the moment you
may have heard or seen the $6 scheme.
You may have
even taken part in it well we have been asked a lot of
questions about this scheme the answer is yes it does
work and yes it is safe to use providing you follow the
rules it is legal and has made a big hit on the internet
this year.
If you would like to take part in this scheme
or would like a bit more information then please see the
attached file that was kindly donated to us.
Thank you for
using PayPal!”

Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though paypal to each of the emails stated in the article.

You then place your own email address in the bottom of the list at ..6, and post the article in at least 200 news groups.
(There are a lot)

So after thinking about it, I went ahead trying it.

I figured what have I got to lose except $6.
00 small dollars, right?

Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it.

It follows the same regulations as the “mailed chainletters, which according to the U.S.
Post Office (1-800-725-2161) is indeed legal!

Then I invested the measly $6.00.

Well GUESS WHAT!!?

Within days, I started getting money in my paypal account!

I was shocked!

I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in.

This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $24,641.00 and it’s still coming in rapidly.

It’s Certainly worth $6.00.

Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works?

REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a verified paypal account.

If you do not have an account you can go to www. paypal. com……
and get a free account.

I would suggest signing up for a business account because it does not limit you to the amount of money you can receive.

Example: with a Personal account you are limited to receiving $500.00 a month and withdrawing $500.00 a month.

And trust me you WILL be receiving more than $500.
00 a month!

Like I said before In order to place the initial $6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with paypal (which may take a few days).

STEP 1:

Send, through paypal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. Make the subject of the payment “Email List” and in the comments, write “PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST.” What you are doing is creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone … THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!

The email list:

1. awesomeincome@charter.net

2. wizkid6405@toast.net

3. mandy69803@yahoo.com

4. taylor29058@yahoo.com

5. auja555@aol.com

6. beanzandcrackerz@att.net

STEP 2: #1)

Now take the #1 email off the list that you see above, move the other addresses up(6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc) and add YOUR email
address (the one used on the paypal account) as number 6 on the list.

STEP 3:

Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups, message board.
(I think there are close to 32,000 groups)
All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make – as well as everyone else on the list!

For example: you log on to any search engine like yahoo. com, google. com, a

Does AT&T have a deal for MLB extra innings?

I have stayed with DirecTv now for over 5 years because they were the only company in my area that offers MLB Extra Innings. Today I call AT&T to get a different local phone plan and I was sucked into the U-Verse. The representative insisted that they just signed a deal for MLB Extra Innings and convinced me to make the switch. Now two hours later after a ton of online research but not a penny spent I have buyers remorse. I cannot find anything online (even U-Verse’s Website) that indicates they sign a deal with MLB. In fact I found a couple post from a couple years ago where other people were told they can watch out of market baseball on U-Verse and they ended up to be lies. Someone tell me please, did I just get suckered, should I keep DirecTv so I know I’ll get my Baseball?

What is the best way to deal with a stressful, I mean stressful, life?

I am married to a woman how is disabled. She wasn’t when we married. I found out about her problems the morning after we married. Her medical problems have shut our lives down. After we were married, we no longer do anything. We have been married 13 years. I think she has some psychiatric problems, but won’t talk with anyone. My health has started going down hill and I think it is because of being around her issues so much and not being able to be active or enjoy life as it should be. I make very good money and the only way it is enjoyed is by her online spending habits. I am miserable, but I can’t leave because I don’t want to desert her. She has to have someone to take care of her and I accepted everything when we married. She has been married 9-11 times. I can’t get the actual number out of her. I feel as though she is only with me for the money and for not having to be alone. I am so stressed out that I am having trouble just functioning. My energy level is GONE. I watch tv all my free time and can’t find the energy to make myself get up and do anything around the house. Please don’t send a bunch of smart aleck remarks to me. I am in need of some advise and really just want someone to listen and understand. The previous is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more. Help please?!

Is it the real deal or a scam?

I have been desperately searching for a way to make money online as I am at home all day. I don’t want to make gazillions, i just want to be able to help pay the bills, etc.. I don’t really fall for the scams, but the other day i signed up for a google one. It only cost about $3 so i figured it wasn’t much to lose. Aparently, they post the stuff out to you and you get a follow up email in the next 10 working days. I’m just wondering if anyone else has signed up for this and i’d like to know how they went and exactly how it all happened. I’d also like to hear from anyone who has figured out a way of making some reasonable income online. I’ve got plenty of time but the survey sites i signed up for are hopeless- you need like, 3300 points to make $30 and you only get about 5 points a survey. They don’t even send you that many!! Any help from anyone would be great because i’m really willing but there are just so many scams out there!! Especially feedback from the google one i mentioned would be greatly appreciated. No time wasters please!
Thanks heaps!!!
