Tenth Month Report!
Wohaa, I’m slowly heading toward one year of doing my Making Money Experiment! Ten months are already over now and today it’s time again for another monthly update on my current progress and earnings.
In July I earned $278, that’s even $72 more than back in June. Although far from letting me quit my day job, I’m happy again. I can slowly feel how things start rolling and I’m now somewhat more fluid when it comes to spend some bucks for my hosting, software and other things I need to build up my small online business.
July was ruled, and my earnings show that, by my efforts in building a nice downline in NeoBux. You can read about it on my NeoBux Squidoo lens if you will. After directly referring a total of 120 people so far plus 220 rented refs, I now make around $5 each day. This month I made a total of $141 from NeoBux alone. It’s a great PTC, probaly the best PTC if you ask me. They pay instantely, introduce one new feature after the other and the earning potential is quite high. I have already upgraded my account to a Golden membership, something I would highly suggest everybody who wants to make some good money with them.
I also earned $50 from Bux.to, but to be honest, I more and more doubt that it’s really worth it anymore. Although they have promised to clear their payment backlogs, nothing special happend so far. Sure, current payment dates for premium members with a Bux card have moved to the beginning of April, but that’s quite normal in a near 4 week time frame…
(insiders may know what I’m talking about, otherwise move on reading more interesting stuff).
This month I also made my fourth affiliate sale from my niche site, it brought me $30 on Clickbank. It’s quite good because I haven’t done anything with this site for several weeks now but I still earn some bucks.
Another $20 I made from writing some articles for a friend from Belgium. He actually wanted me to write articles about NeoBux in both English and German. It was a nice work and he already paid me, no problems, perfect! Thanks again Stijn!
Around $30 were earned from selling links on my blog (yes, I am that evil). No need to further talk about because I won’t get into trouble with Google, hehe.
The rest, around $10, came from contextual ads (Speedyads, Kontera) and several other minor activities like my articles on Triond for example.
In July my blog received 3,500 unique visitors and this number isn’t moving in any direction right now. My Alexa ranking is at around 180,000 and my Pagerank hasn’t changed after the last Google update some days ago (although my backlinks have increased, needs some time).
Ok, enough? I think so. I try to write some new posts the next week before I go on vacation for two weeks. Maybe I’ll write some more posts that will automatically published while I’m away, let’s see.
Thanks to all my readers for your support and commenting. Keep on reading, tell your friends about your findings here and have some nice days!
Bye,
Querblogger

Well, again thanks for the articles!
I got already (?) 6 referrals from it.
I also read a story from a guy who signed up in an internetcafe under his own NeoBux referral link. It didn’t show in his downline.
He asked several other peoples who singed up under him and…still nothing in his downline. So he supposed that neobux is cheating with direct referrals.
What do you think about that ?
Many people have left my site trough my referral link and I only got 6 referrals?
Ok that’s all I’am just not sure or the people have editted the referral link or is NeoBux cheating?

Hi Stijn,
I think 6 referrals isn’t bad at all. Usually you can only expect a conversion rate in the range of up to 5% from all the traffic you send to your referral link. Though, I don’t know how much visitors you’ve already sent to NeoBux…
The story about the guy in the internetcafe looks like a problem with a shared IP adress, which is quite posibble in such a place. For the NeoBux script that would “look” like he’s trying to refer himself whenever another user wants to sign up under him. That’s because the other users have the exact same IP address (hope that makes sense…) It would also be against the NeoBux TOS to create multiple accounts, maybe he even gets banned for that!
I very much doubt that NeoBux is trying to cheat in any way, they simply have no reason for that in my opinion.
See ya,
Querblogger
PS: I get around 2 refs a day from this blog here and I have around 120 unique visitors a day, compare that with your site if you will.

Hi Peter (thats your name isnt it?),
It is Carlos again. The peruvian who lives in Germany. I wrote you about a month ago asking about bux.to and neobux (after joining under you), and decided after that not to invest in bux.to.
I have been coming back to your blog from time to time to check how things with neobux are going on, and it looks great! I havnt been active in neobux for a month (I am one of your lazy referrals
), but now I have decided to invest there.
Anyway, I was also looking for other online business, and found something that you must try in your “experiment”. I already did for a month and I got great results. Maybe you already know it, its name is QYAO (3 years on the internet). A great, serious online business with many revenue streams (I just use one because of time issues, the Advertising Account).
I am not good at referring new members, but I can still make good money there (of course with Referrals it would be much better but it doesnt matter to me, hehe).
I am not asking you to invest on that, but to take it as part of your experiment (they even give you a initial $15 bonus to test it). There are very good offers these months with bonusses and new partners like First-Zone (already 10 years online).
As I told you it is a serious business and though, complex to understand. With the trust you have built with your forum, you will have no problems in getting referrals and do much better than me there.
Join here:

I didnt know how to communicate with you without posting in your blog, so I hope there is no problem in talking about QYAO here.
Hoffe das du es versuchst.
Viele Grüße!
Carlos.

Hi Carlos and thanks for dropping by!
Fortunately you haven’t invested in Bux.to, right now it seems they slowly die. Nothing has changed with all those ugly payment delays (although they promised to do so). You would probably lose your money, but I can’t say for sure.
Neobux on the other side is highly recommendable. Sure you’ll only make good money with some refs but you can rent them for cheap, it’s worth it (and I’ll also make 10% from that purchase, hehe).
Ok, about QYAO. I must admit I’ve never heard of them before and don’t really understand how this whole thing really works (not yet, seems I have to dive a little deeper into it). Anyway, I’ve already joined under your link and I’ll try to make some bucks with them, not right now (I’m going on vacations in two days) but soon for sure.
I’ll also try to get some refs so that we both can benefit from it a little more
5% of all your referrals revenue, 10 levels deep? Seems too good to be true if you ask me, I mean that doesn’t look very sustainable moneywise (proof me wrong if you will).
Another question, do they really pay (I mean cold hard cash, not play money like on Bux.to)? I would like to know that before I invest my time into QYAO.
Again, thanks for that tip Carlos. I’ll do my best to invest some more time into it soon!
See ya,
)

Hey Peter,
I may tell you that I am not good getting referals for any system, so I usually try to succeed by my self. That means, that I have to risk more and invest some money.
Thats the way I do it (until I learn how to get referals, hehe). But I agree with you not to invest until you know they pay.
You can request to main account in Qyao when $50 are reached, and will be paid 45 days after requesting payout. They call this “NEt45″. They transfer directly to your paypal, wire or check if so you choose (min payout requirement $50). You can also skip the transfer to you main account and ask to be paid directly from Sponsors by check (I dont know how long it takes).
I have reached a point where I can think about withdrawing money in a week or two, so enjoy your Ferien and I will let you know if I get paid or not. At least I havnt heard of any member complaining about delays in payments.
Have to leave now.
See you!
Carlos.

Nice to hear that Carlos, hopyefully you’ll get paid. If they really do pay, I will try getting some refs and participating in QYAO too.
See you,
Querblogger
PS: Yep, I will definitely enjoy my Ferien (vacations for all English speaking people here
). Thanks Carlos!

Hi, nice blog you have going here and I was quite suprised to see someone I know here as well, Stijn
I’ve been doing a similar Money Making Experiment for 5 years now so feel free to drop me a line and we can have a chat if you like, also I’d be quite interested in purchasing one of those 125 x 125 banner spots when you know how much you want for them.
Keep up the good work
Adam
