Fifth Month Report!

And yet another month passed by on my way on earning $100. But this month is a special one, not only because it´s one day longer than a normal February.

This month is so special for some reasons. The first one is, I have bought a new domain for my blog to make it easier to remember and to let it look more professional (oh, I like that word ;) Unfortunately I´ve lost my PageRank (ok, I had only a PR of 0) and Alexa ranking. But I hope that I´ll get it back within the next weeks. You can help me with it too. If you would like to, please link back to me, stumble/digg this blog or add it your Technorati faves. Any help is appreciated, although I won´t beg for it :)

The second reason for February being a special month is my earnings. Compared to January, where I earned $40, I´ve only made $21 this month, but I´ve reached my personal goal for making $100 within six month. Yes, I´ve done my job already and made the money in only five month! But please don´t panic, my experiment will go on, promised!

Until now I´ve made a total of $115, which is an average of $23 per month. Ok, I hear many people laugh about this “income”, but I personally think that it shows me what is really possible in the world of making money online. All you need is to set you an own goal and stay with it. The success will follow for sure. So I think if I set me a higher goal, say to make $100 a month, I can reach that too. Would definitely be a good idea for another experiment I could start here, but let´s see.

Let me tell you some short words about my best (and worst) money makers in the month of February. For some reason my best earnings came from Paid.vg, a really nice PTC site comparable to Bux.to, but with a more clear design in my opinion. Compared to Bux.to where I made only $6 this month, I made $12.50 from Paid.vg alone. And all that with only 4 referrals! It seems that many people go to other sites than Bux.to, because they actually have some statistic problems. This may also be the reason why my Bux.to earnings dropped this month, fewer people click on the ads lately. I hope it will get better when Bux.to release the new VISA debit card for handling payouts and they fix their server problems.

One of my worst money makers this month was Subvert and Profit. I made only $0.50 from my referrals alone. Since they raised their pricings from $1 to $2 per Digg/Stumble, it seems less people like to pay for it. It´s too expensive! There are nearly no advertisers left, I only got a single task this month (and unfortunately missed to take it on time). I hope they´ll think about their pricings, because I´ve made good money from them before the prices changed.

The last good reason that shows that February was a good month, was that I worked on a brand new project with my friend Midwest, which will be introduced to the public by next week at the latest. I won´t reveal any details (even if you would beg for it), I can only say that it has made us a lot of fun to work on (I especially liked the hour long funny GMail chats with Tiberius :). We are almost done with it, only some little details are left. We both make an announcement when it´s finished!

So, I think I´ve written enough words here and I hope all the best for my last month with my experiment. Mhm, I should think about the second phase….

Thanks to all my readers, feed subscribers, diggers, stumblers, commenters….!

Best Regards,
Querblogger

New Domain and some busy times…

Welcome back my fellow readers. It´s been a longer time since posting my last article here on my blog. Ok, actually the last post was on monday, but anyway, I feel sorry about the lack of updates.

But I have something new to report on. I´m now a proud owner of my own domain! You can now find my blog at MakingMoneyExperiment.com, I have shortened my URL a bit by removing the “blogspot” part :) I think it was a logical step for me to get my own domain as soon as possible, so I could afford it anyway. The domain cost me only $8.41 for one year. I bought the address from Namecheap, a very nice domain registrar with good pricings. Another reason for getting my own domain was better ranking in search engines. Sure, at the moment my rankings (especially the Alexa rank) are down, but I think it will rebuild very fast. Feel free to link back to my new address to help me getting my ranking back and share some link love! :)

So, now for the reasons why I was so busy the last days. You may have read the last post from my friend Midwest, where he already told his own readers why he was so busy too. Basically, it has something to do with a brand new project we both are planning at the moment. I can´t reveal any details yet. You want to know what it is? Ok, we have a secret nuclear program up and running, it´s something green… Enough info? Have some patience please! ;)

I´ll definitely be busy for the next days, but I think we can release more info about it by this weekend or next week at the latest. Stay tuned and be one of our first beta-testers soon!

So long,
Querblogger

PS: Another word on Bux.to. The promised VISA debit card will most likely be released by next week. The team is working on some last issues. I hope the best ;)

Subvert and Profit - No more Paypal (and other problems)

I know, it was long time ago since my last update on Subvert and Profit. But today I got some major news regarding S&P that I want to share with you.

S&P now doesn´t support Paypal anymore. According to a mail I received today, these are the reasons for dropping Paypal and choosing Google Checkout as a new payment option:

Subvert and Profit has switched our payment systems from Paypal to Google Checkout to serve users in more countries and save on transaction fees. Now, users may send us an “Invoice” to receive money from your Subvert and Profit account. Your withdrawal request will be paid directly to your bank account within 7 business days. After establishing a Google Checkout account that contains your bank account information, log in to Google Checkout; go to “Tools”, then “Send and Invoice” and fill in the form:

At first sight it sounds really nice, more people will actually be able to receive money from S&P. But there´s also a downside, in order to sign-up for an account on Google Checkout, you need a credit card. And that´s a problem in my opinion, because I know that not everyone (including me) has a credit card by hand. I hope they´ll find a solution for this problem.

But there´s also a second fact I noticed the last weeks. Since they raised their pricings for each stumble/digg to $2.00 each, there are no more advertisers. At least this is what I have recognized, I got no new task from S&P since weeks (and the same goes for my 12 referrals). It seems buying diggs/stumbles is way too expensive now, especially when there are free services around where you can exchange diggs/stumbles etc. I hope they´ll fix this too, because nobody will make money anymore. Maybe the golden times are over now?

Have a good day,
Querblogger

PS: As mentioned yesterday, Paid.vg had some cashout problems. They now have fixed the issues and moved their payout date from the 22nd to the 25th. The cashout verification system you may have seen lately, has also been removed due to many users complaining about it ;)

Paid.vg - Cashout Problems!

WARNING: Paid.vg turned out to be a scam site. Please don’t join this site, the following post is only left here to show you how easy it is to get scammed…unfortunately.

As you may know, I´ve reached the minimum payout limit on Paid.vg some days ago. With help of my referrals I have $12.50 in my account balance and, at least in theory, I would be able to request my first payment. But it seems, with Paid.vg payments are somewhat complicated.

You can request your payments only once in a month, on every 22nd. So, yesterday was the 22nd and I logged into my account to do a cashout. But the system told me “Sorry, you can only request payment on the 22nd unless you are a premium member.” I tried it again and again, but everytime the same message. I rechecked the current date only to be sure if it really was the 22nd (and it was).

So, there are two possibilities. The first one could be, that Paid.vg has some serious server problems. Maybe something is wrong with their databases or something like that. I don´t know.
The second one is, that they could operate from a timezone where there already was the 23rd of the month, e.g. Australia?! I don´t know.

I´ve sent a support ticket to the Paid.vg team yesterday, but I got no response so far. I hope they´ll give me a clear answer on this problem. For the moment I´m a bit angry, although it shouldn´t be a problem to wait another month (I was so happy to have reached the minimum payout ;) To make it clear, I won´t discourage you in joining Paid.vg, as it seems to be a very good money maker. I think the cashout problems will clarify!

I´ll keep you updated!
Querblogger

UPDATE 02/24:
New infos from Paid.vg! They had some server issues regarding cashouts. The
cashout date is now moved from the 22nd to the 25th! Seems, I wasn´t the only one with payout problems :)

Bux.to - First Payment Received!

Warning! Bux.to has turned into a horrible PTC with payment delays of more than 6 months, a lame staff and forum mods that defeat Bux.to with their life although they even have not a received a single payment yet. I’m not the only one who didn’t get paid by them, thousands of users are complaining about this mess. The Bux.to staff are the most unprofessional people I’ve ever seen online for a long time (or maybe they are the best scammers I’ve seen, who knows…). I DON’T recommend joining them, there are way better PTCs on the market that even pay instantly, like NeoBux for example. There I already earned over $2,000 and got paid more than 10 times!

Just yesterday I talked about waiting for the first payments from Bux.to within the next days. Today the payment is alread here! I just checked my statistics and there were the holy words “Payment sent”. After only 28 business days, meaning 2 days faster than expected, I received $12.71 in my Alertpay account. It was a flawless process and I´m really happy.

You know I had my doubts if Bux.to will really pay me, that´s my nature somehow ;) But now I´m convinced of the truth. At least Bux.to seems like a huge money making machine for the next month (I still have my doubts if they can sustain for a longer time with such high payouts up to some thousand dollars). What I don´t like at the moment is the Alertpay payment option, because I can withdraw my funds only via check with high fees. I´m waiting for the new Bux.to debit card, more infos should follow this week!

For the next weeks I´ll try to buy some more referral packages until I make good daily money. I´ll use a great portion of my earnings for re-investing (provided that I make enough cash).

All I can say now is, join Bux.to if you want to make good money. Invest in buying referral packages (start with cheap ones), you´ll make your investment back within 2 to 3 weeks.

Bye,
Querblogger

PS: If you want to join an instant paying PTC, just check out my article about NeoBux. So far I’ve done two cashouts and the money arrived in my Alertpay account almost immediately!

PPS: Find out how to get paid to search the internet. You can earn up to $0.06 for a single search on Google, Yahoo or Ask.com! Read my review and start earning some nice extra cash after joining that site.

Bux.to - Big Payout Day Ahead!

As the title says, I´ll receive my first payment from Bux.to within some days, at least in theory. After waiting 30 business (the standard waiting time for premium users), I will receive my first cashout on February 22nd, meaning this Friday. The amount is a little bit over $12.00. I hope that they will actually pay me, because I have some doubts on how serious this company really is. Sure, many people seem to already got paid from Bux.to, but there are also some rumors about people complaining about not getting paid. As long as I don´t see my money in my Alertpay account, I must assume they are “scammers” (this sounds hard I know ;)

My current account balance is about $45 with most of the money generated from my 15 bought referrals (I broke even with this investment within only 14 days). I´ve also upgraded to a premium membership to receive payments faster (and give you more infos faster too). In theory this all sounds just too good to be true, let´s wait until Friday to see what´ll happen. I´m also waiting for the new Bux.to debit card, which will be available for all premium members as an payment option. The card will be an VISA Electron card, which you can use in many ATM around the world or for online payments. The Bux.to team promised to release some info about it soon, I´m waiting…

Next Friday will also be the time for requesting my first payment from Paid.vg, another good PTC site with an average of 10 daily ads and a nice referral program. You must know that you can only request payments at the 22nd of each month! My 4 referrals generated around $10 since I joined this site. I now have reached the $10 minimum payout limit :)

Entrecard Contest - Win 500 Credits!

Today I want to start a little contest where you can win 500 Entrecard credits! If you don´t know Entrecard, please read my post about it to find out more.

Here are the simple rules:

  1. Write a short review about this blog with at least 100 words.
  2. In your post you have to include two links pointing to “http://makingmoneyexperiment.blogspot.com”
  3. Send me an email containing your review post URL, submit it to netzfischer[at]gmail[dot]com
  4. Have the chance to win 500 Entrecard credits!

The contest will end at Friday 22nd midnight (CEST), so you have 5 days to write a review. After the time is over, a winner will be choosen randomly (with help of an online randomizer). You´ll get your credits shortly after that (maybe a day), I´ll send them via email. The winner will be mentioned in one of my future blog posts!

You may win 500 credits if you´re the lucky one, but there´s even more! Everybody writing a review about my blog will get a share of what I call my Entrecard pot. I have another 2,000 credits left which I´ll share with everybody participating in this contest. For example, if 10 people write a review about my blog, everybody will get 200 credits plus one lucky person getting an extra 500 credits, easy isn´t it?

As this is my first contest here on my blog, I don´t have a clue how it will work. I hope that many people participate. Remember, it´s easy earned credits even if you´re not the winner of the 500 credits!

So long,

Paid.vg - Reached minimum payout limit!

WARNING: Paid.vg turned out to be a scam site. Please don’t join this site, the following post is only left here to show you how easy it is to get scammed…unfortunately.

Only 7 days after writing about my process on Paid.vg, I finally reached the $10 minimum payout limit today! My 4 referrals kept “working” for me the last days with a steady $0.30 each day. Now I´ve reached $10.22 (that´s a total of 1022 ads clicked) and I´m ready for cashout. Thank you!

One problem I´ve only realized today was the payment policy of Paid.vg. Unlike Bux.to, where you have to wait up to 60 business days before receiving your payments, Paid.vg pays within only 30 days. But that isn´t the problem here, the real problem is that you can only request a cashout on the 22nd of each month, meaning I have to wait until the end of next week…I hope I won´t miss that date for some reasons, because than I have to wait another month again before requesting my cash. I also hope they´ll really pay me (and don´t scam me), I´ve heard from people getting paid within only one day :)

Have a nice weekend,

Entrecard - Free Advertising to its Best!

You probably have heard about Entrecard? No? No problem, let me tell you more!

You may know that advertising your blog or website is a crucial task in order to succeed with your online business. Sure, it would also work without any advertising, but it would also take a much longer time to make your blog/website more popular. So, it should be one of your first goals to drive traffic to your site, the more the better. More traffic will bring you more revenue, be it from affiliate marketing, contextual ads or referral programs. But the traffic is even better if it´s free!

So, recently I came across Entrecard, a nice site that offers free advertising for your site. I´ve seen it on many blogs lately, even on those from famous bloggers like Darren Rowse or John Chow.

Entrecard lets you exchange 125×125 banner ads for free. The whole story is based on dropping your entrecards on blogs you like, think about it as giving your own business card to other people. In order to drop a card, the blog you´re about to visit must have a widget installed. There you can click to drop your own card. You then get one Entrecard credit for each drop which you could use for advertising your own blog or website.

Advertising your own site is easy. The first thing you´ll need is a 125×125 image banner representing your blog or website, you could also use only a simple text link ad, but that isn´t too effective I think. If you have earned enough credits from dropping your Entrecards on different blogs out there on the web, you can use that balance to advertise on other sites. After an advertising request is approved, your banner ad will show up in a widget (have a look at the left side bar to see what I mean) for the period of one day.

Other people can also advertise on your blog. The cost for advertising is based on the average Entrecard drops your site gets, multiplied by two. For example, if an average of 100 cards were dropped at your site each day, it would cost 200 credits to advertise on your site for one day.

You can even spend your earned Entrecard credits in a shop. There are many offers from many Entrecard users. You can find many things to choose from. For example you could let digg or stumble your blog from other people after paying them some Entrecard credits. Or you could hire someone to design your own Entrecard. There are many possibilities, check it out by yourself!

So far Entrecard is bringing me an extra 30 unique visitors to my blog each day and it´s growing from day to day. Really awesome in my opinion (hey it´s FREE advertising :) I really like the service, it´s relative easy to understand (look at their site to get a better understanding) and offers you great possibilities like advertising on John Chows blog for example!

I´ll soon start a little contest where you can win some good Entrecard credits. More info will follow by the weekend!

Bye,

My favorite Blogs - My PPC Advertising

Today I want to start some kind of long-term series about all my favorite blogs that I´ve came across on my way on making money online. I visit them regulary and they provide many useful information on different aspects that interest me, but they are not limited to money making only.

My first review will deal about My PPC Advertising, a blog from my very good friend Tiberius Burciu.

I came across Tiberius´ blog while searching for new ways to drive traffic to my own blog. It was nearly at the beginning of my money making journey as I used a service called Linkreferral (I´ve written some posts about them) to drive more visitors to my posts. I don´t know for sure, but I think it was Tiberius who first reviewed my blog on LR and we came into contact. Things went fast, we exchanged links for both of our blogs and since then are regulary commenting on each others (sometimes weird, but mostly highly valuable ;) posts.

It was August 5th 2007 when Tiberius (who is better known under the name Midwest) wrote his first post on his newly created blog. Better and longer post should follow soon…

My PPC Advertising deals about a wide variety of themes like (obviously) money making opportunities, free and paid advertising, blogging and SEO tips and many many more. Tiberius has written some good articles about Google Adsense, although he got banned for no reasons. I especially like his posts about (free) advertising methods to promote your blog. So I came across Entrecard for example. But there´s way more to find on his blog, take the posts about Commission Juntion or Adsense Alternatives for example, you see the variety?

If you´re looking for in-detail infos about making money online or advertising your blog or website, then My PPC Advertising is what you´re looking for, really ;)

The blog design is uncluttered, simple and easy to follow, you´ll find everything you need. The posts are structured in categories, so you´ll definitely find the right post. In my opionen there isn´t too much advertising on Tiberius´blog, which is good and won´t put visitors away from coming back. Nothing is more annoying than having too many ad banners and links on a page (maybe I have to work on it for myself :)

My PPC Advertising is hosted on Blogger.com, in case you didn´t recognize it. Tiberius recently bought his own domain name (a dot info) and it´s worth to mention that this may have affected his blog´s popularity in a positive way. It didn´t take too long and he gained back his Google PageRank of 3 and an Alexa rating of 320,000(!), which clearly shows his influence and reach in the money making blogosphere. Good job Mr. Midwest!

Besides being one of my favorite bloggers, Tiberius is also a top-commentor on my blog. We exchanged some weird thoughts about most different topics within the last month (and actually he thinks I´m evil…an on-going joke, but maybe true hehe :)

I could tell you way more about My PPC Advertising and his owner Midwest, but I think it would be better if you find out by yourself. Simply drop by and have a look at his blog, I promise you won´t do anything wrong. You actually get some great info and good insight in the money making branch with all its facets. Actually he releases a new and fresh post nearly every day, so there´s much content you can read. Feel free to say hello to Tiberius on one of his posts!

To came to an end, I want to thank Tiberius very much for his good findings, infos and ideas he triggered (in my sometimes lazy) brain ;) I´m looking forward to work together with him on some nice projects (sorry, I can´t go into the details yet) and I wish him good luck with his blog!

The very best regards,
Querblogger
